HOW TO WIN THE TOURNAMENT (By Pipanni) Well, first of all, you have to train a little bit. Go to the 4 dojo's and train against your Sensei, try to execute as many different moves as you can and see which ones work best. Ok, now to the good stuff. I'll use the keyboard to explain the moves (but if you prefer to use the keypad it's the same 9-keys configuration). Match 1 (Name: Goro Suzuki, Degree: Shodan (Level 1), Weapon: Karate) Use Karate against this guy. He uses Karate as well but he is no better than your Sensei or you. Retreat as much as you can (without stepping out of the combat area, otherwise you'll get a penalty and lose your Ki) and then perform a flying kick in his face as many times as possible, press E (or 9) and Fire when you're in the air. Do this until he gets pushed out of the mat, then retreat again and repeat. Don't go to him, let him get close again, even if he gets much of his stamina back, you will have lots of Ki to kick his face in. Match 2 (Name: Eiji Kimura, Degree: Shodan (Level 1), Weapon: Kendo) Retreat and then perform the Kendo forward attack as many times as you can, always attacking until your enemy falls. Press 'C' (or '3') continuously and then 'Fire'. Match 3 (Name: Jimmy Doran, Degree: Nidan (Level 2), Weapon: Tonfa) Just use Nunchaku and beat the crap out of this guy. Use the "Last Ninja" move until you destroy him completely. Using this move he never gets close enough to use his deadly cop sticks. The Last Ninja move is done by pressing 'A' (constantly) and then 'W' and 'Fire' at the same time. If he starts to back away just follow him SLOWLY. Match 4 (Name: Shigeo Kawahara, Degree: none, Weapon: Nunchaku) Ok, the fun is over. This guy means business, he is very good and he is no dumb ass to always go up to you. Use the Last Ninja move (explained earlier) to kick his ass. Yes, you have to use Nunchaku, save your Bo's for later. If he backs away follow him VERY SLOWLY or he will wipe the floor with you. Match 5 (Name: Tetsuo Okabe, Degree: Sandan (Level 3), Weapon: Bo) Use the "Bo Super Move" and the "Bo Skull Break Move" againt this Bo Master. Also use your head and retreat when you're weak, charge when you're strong. To perform the "Bo Super Move" press A (constantly) and then 'E' and 'Fire' at the same time. To use the "Bo Skull Break Move" press D (constantly) and then press 'Q' and 'Fire' at the same time. Match 6 (Name: Arnie Gustafson, Degree: Godan (Level 5), Weapon: Karate) This guy is really good, his only problem is that he decided to use Karate in the tournament. Big mistake. Draw your Nunchaku's and show this big German the meaning of pain (moves explained earlier, but any will do). For a real challenge though, try beating him as you beat Goro in Match 1, using only Karate. Match 7 (Name: Hiroshi Ikeda, Degree: Hachidan (Level 8), Weapon: Kusari-Gama) Use Nunchaku's again as in fight 4 (or the last one) to defeat 'Mountain Man' Ikeda. Use continuously the "Last Ninja" move (explained earlier) and any other one to keep him away from you. Two or three blows from his weapon are all it takes to bring you down! Let him come to you, NEVER follow. (this guy's weapon is the most powerful in all the tournament but fortunately it's short-ranged) Match 8 (Name: Miyuki Hirose, Degree: Yondan (Level 4), Weapon: Naginata) To beat this lady you have to draw out your Bo and fight hard. Use the best Bo moves (explained earlier) and your wits and you'll send her home to mommy. (if she backs away do not follow, wait and start your moves again) Match 9 (Name: Randy Wu, Degree: Hachidan (Level 8), Weapon: Nunchaku) This guy is probably the best fighter in the tournament. Even using your trusty Bo you can still be defeated. Use the best Bo moves (explained earlier), use your head and ONLY charge when he is very weak or else it's bye bye tournament. Match 10 (Name: Ayako Maruyama, Degree: Unknown, Weapon: Ninjitsu) This lady is a fearsome Ninja warrior, but although her kicks and punchs can break your bones and lower your stamina in a flash, it's still just advanced Karate. Draw your Kendo stick, execute the Kendo forward move (explained in Match 2) and teach her that hands and feet are never a match for weapons. If she throws darts ignore them (almost no damage) and if you get weak from her punches and kicks back away, regain your strength and then club her head again. If she vanishes à lá Ninja style just wait for her to reappear and resume your head clubbing. Match 11 (Name: Kazuo Sakata, Degree: Shichidan (Level 7), Weapon: Yari) This guy's weapon is a Bo with a blade, a kind of spear. This means you can use your own Bo (with no blade, he's a cheater) against him. Use the same tactics and moves as in Match 5 or 8. If he backs away don't follow, wait for him to charge again. Match 12 (Name: Tokage, Degree: Unknown, Weapon: various) Well, this guy is good, but I was a little disapointed. Draw your Kendo stick and wack him till he drops. Use the tactits learned in Match 2 or 10. That's it! Read the important saying at the end and always try to do that in real life! HOW TO PLAY A BREAKOUT GAME Go as far right and down as you possibly can. When you are between the Dojo and the fence, press B for a breakout-style game.
